Nokai Lumia 820 是 920 的低階版本，Nokai Lumia 820 螢幕較小，是 4.3 吋的 OLED 面板，解析度 1280 x 768，Lumia 820 內建 8GB 儲存空間，並支援最大 32GB 的 micro SD 記憶卡，Lumia 920 內建 32GB 的記憶體容量，不支援 micro SD 擴充。

這次 Nokia Lumia 920 和 820 兩大亮點之一：無線充電，Nokai Lumia 920 與 820 都有內建無線充電的感應線圈，所以此只要用 Nokia 原廠配件 DT-900 無線充電盤或 DT-910 無線充電座，將 Nokai Lumia 920 與 820 放在上面，就可以直接充電，手機不需要插充電線。
另一大亮點是 PureView 相機技術，先前 Nokia 曾推出 808 PureView 的 Symbian 手機，可惜沒有在台灣上市，808 PureView 的相機是 4100 萬畫素；Nokia Lumia 920 的 PureView 技術是採用 870 萬畫素卡爾蔡司相機、感光元件為 1/3 吋、F/2.0 光圈、支援光學防手震，Lumia 920 是 Nokia 首款支援光學防手震機種，尤其是光學防手震 Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) 技術，讓人驚驗。
由於影片中的光學防手震 Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) 技術實在是太棒了，但後來被眼尖的鄉民發現案情不單純，包括影片第 27 秒的後面小拖車玻璃反射，還有第 48 秒的地上影子，怎麼看都不像是 Lumia 920 的陰影，結果 Nokia 在官方部落格 Nokia Conversations 發表道歉聲明，承認這影片並不是用 Lumia 920 所拍，以下是道歉聲明，真是尷尬。
An apology is due
We’re excited about the Lumia 920 and the ground-breaking PureView imaging capabilities we announced today.
In an effort to demonstrate the benefits of optical image stabilization (which eliminates blurry images and improves pictures shot in low light conditions), we produced a video that simulates what we will be able to deliver with OIS.
Of course, hindsight is 20/20, but we should have posted a disclaimer stating this was a representation of OIS only. This was not shot with a Lumia 920. At least, not yet. We apologize for the confusion we created.
We are looking forward to bringing the Lumia 920, with PureView optical image stabilization to select markets later this year.
